A sizable DIY LED Wall (actual dimensions to be determined aiming to make it around 2m wide x 1.4m highl) consisting of 2-3 panels of 128 LEDs arranged in a 8 x 16 matrix with 80mm spacing between the LEDs.
The plan is to use a camera with OpenCV or other object tracking library to capture the scene in front of the wall and change the patterns being displayed on the LED wall in real-time.
The initial plan is to build 3 identical 700mm wide x 1400mm tall panels with 128 LEDs per panel.
(However time restrictions may reduce the size or number of these panels).
The plan is to use WS8211 address LEDs like this to minimise wiring
The panels will be self -supporting held up by a frame behind them that also hides all the electronics
There will be some type of camera mounted to frame that display different patterns on the LED panels based on what it sees.
